Dumas Days

on the road through Trinidad

Bru had to come along in his collar. Treadmill and sauna, check

His perch to avoid Scrappy when he comes to visit

first night, post-surgery

meanwhile back at home...

Day 2

(no, they weren't both mine)

hospital boredom is real

Bru waiting on PaPa to get back

Scrappy and Evan waiting on treats (and Bru waiting on Scrappy to leave)

The news on Bob Sr.'s surgery was not what he'd hoped. Stage IV Adenocarcinoma. Looks like we'll get him home Saturday and once he's regained some strength, they'll start whatever therapies deemed appropriate. He's still in a considerable amount of pain and nausea, hasn't been able to eat anything, and isn't sleeping, so getting him home where he can really rest and recuperate.

3/26/16 Saturday excitement

a bit more snow

and . . .

cat surgery!

poor Bru, drugged and bumping around in his cone of shame

found a wound last night on his bum that turned out to be an anal gland abcess.

ow!! Looks way better now stitched up, though.

Found him a much more comfy cone of shame at PetCo this afternoon. Now he looks like he's wearing a Shakespearean ruff, albeit with a handy dandy zipper (hiding an inflatable donut)

He's been a bit needy and drugged but seems to be coming around. Poor guy.

Faith begrudgingly shares . . . for now.

03/25/16 oh look...

3/25/16

there

(with sound)

sledding hill tracks still visible

snow dogs on mostly ice

I wish I could capture how magical the first light on the untouched snow sparkles

our 50" shadows

and back again

what a little sunlight can do

the morning's snow valance as the sun began its work

most of this has been crashing down in clumps all afternoon, startling Evan and the cats

the afternoon backyard inventory:

puddle-wonderful!

3/24/16 Mammammy's 93rd

Today would've been Mammammy's 93rd birthday.
