6/29

After a bit of a dry spell for cloud color, Monday's looked like it might come around.

I've been wrong before, though. Sometimes it starts like this and then just fades to gray without every picking up color steam.

But this one came through.

June 21 - 28

Photos from the past week, starting with Father's Day

and one last day with Nick, Ali, & Olive after their weekend getaway

(stolen from Ali's instagram)

We ordered a batch of cookies from the Flour Shop
(Lemon Lavender & Red Velvet Cheesecake Cookies)

and dinner out at NoNo's

post-dinner, playing with the pups.

Nick had them all lined up just right...

and one last night of treats!

Ali left me a present of bath bombs. Jake approves.

Jake's nightly rumpus among the pillows

and his morning plop in the water post-doggie park (with ball)

work on the front area this weekend, with the juniper cut away, a new spirea bush to keep the survivor company, black mulch and white rock in place.

Now I need to visit Mom & Dad at the cabin with a shovel to unearth some big chunks of quartz to finish the front line off.

This was June

It's been nearly a month since I last posted!

Blogger is changing their interface and it keeps fighting me on uploading photos from my computer.

I found the "legacy" interface that still works, so here's a whole month in one go!

It might be my last.

The wildflowers are taking off.

The sunrises are more pale and less vivid than winter, but still beautiful when we get clouds hanging out at just the right spots.

Highlight of June: this owl feather along the trail!

the high winds overnight got this one

Nick arrived for the week!

those are some cute puppies. But all I can think is, "I have GOT to refinish the deck!!"

(stolen from Ali's instragram when Nick went to get her from the airport for their anniversary stay at the cabin)

This weekend: Olive sitting

very excited to see the blooms soon!
