Off to the Denver Modernism Show at the National Western Complex
Not as big as I'd hoped, and really overpriced at a lot of booths, but fun to look around. We should've waited and come the next day when all the old cars were going to be there.
1955 Ford Thunderbird V-8
Floor shift 2 Speed Ford-o-Matic
As equipped, this bad boy cost $3764 back in 1955, which would be around $33k today
1961 Corvair Greenbriar, AKA, the Corvan
1973 Olds Cutlass Supreme
featuring "Turbo Hydro-Matic"
Rows and rows of artwork, or booths with retro stuff. Big selection of records and radios, one toy booth, and lots of vendors who've clearly been to Goodwill as often as I have.
And the endless fluorescent lights...
tables and tables of fun to look at kitsch
They also had a Tiki Bar and a Fez-o-Rama booth which was fun.
(and finished out the day with late lunch at Los Dos)
