The February Clematis
I'd brought all the flowers from the deck inside as the winter came on, but most of my efforts were in vain as there simply wasn't enough sunshine to keep them alive.
Not so the clematis, which is actually doing better inside that it had done the months outdoors. I will have to find a way to help it keep climbing soon.
From Feb. 1 to today (21) it's been blooming away! It started just from the sun coming through the stained glass layer over the window. I moved it to the front window for awhile as the morning sun comes in longer there, but I missed having it in view as I passed it coming down the stairs every time, so this weekend I brought it upstairs to sit with me in the loft, the sunshiniest room in the house.
2/22/21 Snowy Sunday Morning
Snow overnight left everything frosted in white for just a few hours. Already gone in the sunshine.
2/20/21 Itty Bitty Baby Shower
Bob spent the weekend in Austin. Sammi surprised him by coming in a day ahead and I sent all the baby stuff I'd bought (so far).
