So more than a decade ago now, the day after my very first Red Rocks 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, I joined Stephanie and Deanna on a hike to Chicago Lakes. That . . . didn't go so well.
Which may explain why it's taken 11 years for me to even want to attempt any portion of it again.
But, I must say, in its modified form, and NOT the day after the stair claim, it was quite nice.
We're calling this one Chicago Stream, because we only descended to the bottom where the stream cuts across the trail and then worked our way all the way back up, for a total of only 3 miles, but a really nice elevation shift.
