On New Years Day the kids and I hit the Goodwill to get out of the house and I came across a set of two retro cups and saucers with a creamer and salt and pepper shakers for .99¢. Since my S&Ps had sprung a leak, and they matched both the Fransiscan ware I inherited from Mom and Dad as well as the fun atomic compass bowls and Chip/Dip, they had to come home with me.
Doing a little research on them, it appears they were popular in Australia in the 70s, since the bottom is stamped with Stoneware Pueblo Japan. The pattern is called Pueblo, but the stoneware was manufactured in Japan and sold to Australian markets.
