flowers from AWN on my 18th workiversary June 1
Early June saw the first sunflower bloom and shortly thereafter, they took off, peaking around July 4.
to think all of this came up on its own three summers ago, from one stalk against the fence and the shed!
the yarrow was a volunteer too
towards the end of June we had dozens of goldfinches feasting among the sunflowers regularly. They'd hear the click of the sliding door when I was letting the dogs out and all ascend to the power lines and wait for us to leave again.
