We hit Austin about 4:00 and went to Maddie's apartment to meet her kitty and see her place before heading over to the original Chuy's for dinner. Ren and Marci met us there.
And, again, I managed one photo. Somehow, all those animal pictures combined with navigation and a power outlet not quite making connection meant my phone was nearly dead.
Maddie did get this one of Steph and I trying out the New Mexican Martini (green chili-infused) while we waited for Marci and Ren and the table. We asked for extra olives and got a whole cup of jalapeno stuffed ones!
From there, we visited a bit more and then hit the road for Houston, with one very important stop along the wait.
Up next . . . SQUIRREL!!

Post Chuy's we hit up the Peter Pan Mini Golf just down the road. It's been in business since 1948.
We got Maddie back to her apartment and went to Ren & Marci's house to collapse.
Ali had been at a bridal shower in Lake Jackson and Nick had been helping run the official visit weekend with a bunch prospects and their parents on what turned out to be a marathon of delays and problems, so he hadn't even gotten free until halfway through putt-putt. So we'd agreed to just meet the next morning for brunch.
Started out the morning in the sunshine with Hershey and some squirrel watching.
And then we headed over to Nick & Ali's to meet Olive!
Ali made it back from Lake Jackson and we hit up Kerbey Lane nearby for brunch!
yes, two of those plates are Nick's
Up next . . . SQUIRREL!!
