We said goodbye to Faith tonight.
Faith was caused more consternation in this house than any other cat. She is the reason we've sworn off adopting more cats (unless another Bruiser shows up).
The tiny kitty that always looked like a kitten spent her last years curled up in my lap, mostly to take advantage of the warmth of the laptop resting there. She had wasted down to just a few pounds at the end and it was time to let her go.
But she was a part of our lives for 12 years, and her adoption story still ranks up there with the best of the Mask stories, living in a trailer with 40 other cats, and seeing the angle to get sprung very quickly, by curling up on Sam's lap in the midst of that chaos.
Fare thee well, Faith kitty.
