It's been a bit of a week!
Thursday, driving to the airport in the morning, thousands of Canadian geese were like ribbons on the wind.
Friday morning's vivid sunrise
We had stopped in before the show for dinner but ran out of time, so we went back after for pie!
Saturday
Bob Sr. called to tell us he had traded in his minivan on this baby.
We didn't believe him.
I texted Nick, on his way to Amarillo for the night and asked him to verify.
Sunday, Nick and Olive arrived! And we bonded over making snickerdoodles.
Olive & Aidan are besties already
Aidan's jersey from last season was brought out when Olive got her coat on, and I remembered a jersey Sammi had abandoned that might fit Jake. So yeah, it's got puffy sleeves and rhinestones, but he doesn't care!
Olive's favorite wresting move is the "head sit"
Our first night of kitty treats before bed
Wednesday
Also, thanks to the Black Friday online sales kicking in, I finally pulled the trigger on new living room furniture as our agreed upon Christmas present. This will be the first room of furniture purchased new!
Olive discovered she is little enough to get back behind my chair over to the place where I keep the treats!
Thanksgiving Day
Right about now, my phone rings and it's Sammi, just after Jason had proposed while they were heading for breakfast at the Grand Floridian at Disney World.
I had sent Jason the photo below and asked, after he'd popped the question, to see if they could find the spot. And they did! Sammi at the Grand Floridian on our first trip when she was five, and today.
Back to the park...
Mom and Dad arrived and they were immediately drafted to play fetch while we watched the Thanksgiving Day parade. Note where the ball landed:
the feast!
and the puppy feast!
