Steph and I met up in NYC to see Tom Felton, the actor who originated the Draco Malfoy role for all of the movies, take on the grown up Draco Malfoy role in the Broadway show.
First order of business was getting Steph her beloved Shepherd's Pie at the pub next door to the Hotel St. James, our favorite place to stay to be near the Theater District.
Then we hit up the Harry Potter Store, of course.
And decided to try our luck at the Cursed Child stage door the night before our show, so we wouldn't have to miss curtain call to try and secure a place along the barricade.
It was a long, cold wait, but we made friends and got to meet Scorpius (Draco's son in the play and one of two main characters, the other being Harry Potter's son Albus)
Sunday morning breakfast at the Red Flame Diner
and then I surprised Steph with tickets to bumper cars on ice at Bryant Park, which was another highlight of the trip.

made it over to Grand Central to take the Harry Potter "wrapped" shuttle back to Times Square
then we walked over to Rockefeller Center and FAO Schwartz
and then back to the hotel to grab lunch at the same pub so Steph could get her Shepherd's Pie twice in one weekend
and then it was show time!
