Nick's birthday got spread out a good bit across our Disney trip, leading up to the actual day of the 9th.
When we checked in, he was given a birthday button to wear.
His first candle came on our first night, eating at the Irish Pub Raglan Road, with his bread pudding dessert.
The waitress also brought over the Irish dancers to wish him a happy birthday as well.
On Friday, we had lunch at the Primetime Cafe and our waiter got 21 candles into a cupcake and got everyone in the restaurant to sing "Happy Birthday" and then passed around a Disney birthday card for everyone in our section to sign.
seriously, that much fire meant the camera didn't think I needed a flash

Wishing he was 12 so he could be a Padawan (they didn't have this when he was the right age)

One last morning in the parks on the birthday trip
Sometimes, even when you're turning 21, riding in a flying elephant is still fun

and with one more set of candles to blow out on the cookie cake (Pirate themed, natch)
we're both sick, but have to get a birthday mom and son picture anyway

saying bye to the puppies
and the Bru
and the terribly weepy mama
and my 21 year old is on his way back to Texas again.
