Saturday Adventure

Headed west to Idaho Springs for a hike with Marci & family before they head back to Texas for the rest of the year.

It was late enough in the day that everyone else was doing the same thing (just the heading west part, though).

But without too much delay we made it to St. Mary's Glacier by 10:45, found parking, and headed on up. It was nice and cool.

I

Found this beauty of a chunk of quartz but it was just to big to get the mile or so back to the car!

Back down at the lake, we met up with this little guy

and then it was back down to the car. The nice thing about this hike is all the uphill is right at the start before you're too tired.

Back in Idaho Springs on Marci's fancy newly refinished porch

We walked up the road to take a look at the little fairy garden that's part of a library walk.

the community garden on the way back -- Marci's blue and teal house visible at the end of the street, before the blue roof.

bye guys! See you on your return to CO!!
