So home improvement project before the winter arrives: deck lights.
(My summer intention was to restain the deck and you'd think in the middle of a pandemic would be a perfect time to have tackled that . . . but it didn't happen and now it'll probably get rolled over to 2021.)
So try to ignore the atrocious deck for the time being.
The lights are color changing LED and weatherproof/shatterproof, etc.
My favorite are, big surprise, the BLUE ONES. But the white ones are a nice soft glow and will be the go-to except maybe around Christmas when I can switch between red and green. The purple and orange might be fun for Halloween.
you can see my new neighbor (Corinne) has hung similar lights from her covered patio but I didn't get lucky for her to have them on this evening. Corinne retired, bought a house up at Dillon thinking it's where she wanted to be year round, and after a few years decided to sell the place and move back to Denver before the next winter. She has a kitty that sits in her window, too.
Bru at the screen is thinking, "she really should've restained the deck this summer."
