Chapter 11: The End of the Road

For our last / departure day, one last outdoor breakfast and Washington Park before heading to the airport.

when I checked the weather that morning I did have to smile.

Heat Advisory??

Our last breakfast made it a 100% success rate on only eating outdoors for the 8 days

a look around the outside of the Pittock Mansion

From there, we went to the Japanese Garden and climbed around.

WHERE ARE THE FOOTPRINTS??

right across the way is the Rose Garden

We decided to find a place near the airport outside for lunch, pick up pie, and then turn in the rental car and shuttle to the airport

driving past Chinatown

the nearly empty airport

the totally empty Pendleton store in the airport

mobile in the airport

Marci, Tori, and PIE at the airport :)

checking out social media for the first time this week while waiting to board, looks like we picked a pretty good spot for our summer escape

taking off

Flying past Mt. Hood on the way to Denver

and a beautiful sunset to greet us as we landed back home

This trip was the best 50th (heck, ANY) birthday gift I could have gotten.
