1/3/18 First Walk of 2018

It's been two months since the pelvic fracture. Today's is Nell's birthday and the first anniversary of her death.

It felt like the right time to put one foot in front of the other and get going again.

It was clear and cold at 19° and it felt so good to hear the crunch of the trail underfoot and the hooting of my owls, and a far off howl of a coyote. Under a full moon, no less.

Missing the past two months means I missed all of the Christmas decorations. So the few still up made me smile. Especially the llama.

Our decorations are gone and we're back to blue and white and "let it snow."

Happy Day. Happy January. Happy 2018.

Let's get moving.
