Since I have to be at my post all during the week and Nick will be headed back to Texas next weekend (if things don't change yet again, in the next five days) so we took the opportunity to get out in the sunshine and mountain air with the pups for a few hours today. Good for the soul.
Echo Lake, mostly frozen, but clearly on the thaw.
I heard the sweetest bird call and looked up to find her posing for me!

The buffalo herd was just settling in for a sunshiny nap on the way back home.
