Since the whole world is taking a break during this bizarre and unprecedented March, it feels odd to use the casual "spring break" here, but it was good to have him home for the week.

After our outing that first day he was here, I was delighted, although not with the reason, that he would be able stay until the following Sunday instead of leaving on Saturday as planned. His original route was to stop in and stay with Bob Sr. in Amarillo. But his senior living apartments closed to all visitors, so Nick switched to make the full ride all day Sunday.
We took that Saturday opportunity to take one more mountain drive (now prohibited across the state) up to Grant and back, touching nothing in between.
