2/14/14 A Very Calvin & Hobbes Valentine

Bill Watterson drew panels of Calvin and Hobbes for Valentines Day only three times: his first year in 1986 he did a series, and then not again until 1993 and 1994 when the day (or eve) fell on a Sunday.

In 1993 and 1994, Calvin and Susie still hadn't quite advanced their relationship much further than 1986:



But, of course, that really isn't the true love relationship the strip was ever about, was it?

To all those fellow un-sentimental, anti-saccharine, unconventional valentines out there: go ahead; get greedy.
