Dent-de-lion, or tooth of the lion, are taking over the yard.
First, the little yellow flowers appeared in the last couple of weeks, the ones the little kids love to pick as they play up and down the sidewalk. Then "poof!" lots of lovely white seed heads and you're yard is just one giant wish fest.
Except, this year... not so much. The white blooms seemed a little skimpy, or gone entirely in places.
Today, I discovered why.
The birds are feasting on them. And, if you didn't already know, they are actually quite nutritious.
It would appear I have some yard work on the horizon...
