4/27/13 The 2013 Floral Attempts

In addition to attending my first boot camp at Red Rock at sunrise today, it was also yard work day, so plenty of activity all around. When you've hit 40 flights of stairs before 8:00 am, you know you're doing something right. And when it's as gorgeous as it comes on a spring Colorado day, you can't stay inside for long.

We're working on a large dead spot in the backyard, tilling and re-seeding, but that's not terribly photogenic, so here's what I managed at the front of the house.

Foxglove

Columbine (the state flower of Colorado in a very cool red and yellow variety)

and Bleeding Heart

Snow expected mid-week, so these will all come inside and hang out for just a couple of days. We're right back up near 70° again next weekend!
