The Last Last Lunch
One more time for table-side guacamole
And a much fuller table than last.
I couldn't even fit everybody into one picture.
But the best part came at the end. Because Nancy had arranged for sopapillas but after two hours of lunch we had to get them to go. So Vicki was spared the hat singing in the middle of the restaurant. However, I coaxed some of our favorite servers into a serenade out of the way.
To my disappointment, the gigantic sombrero (see Wednesday's post for a picture) had bit the dust.
We made due with a dinky sombrero.
Marlene never got the pleasure either, so she tried on the hat. (And blinked.)
And finally, one last gesture Vicki never missed, handing me my mint as we headed out the door.
Looks like a fun gathering. Love the sombrero! :)
