Two weeks ago it stopped snowing and never started again. Can't you tell?
What you see now is pretty solid packed ice, with some wicked slick spots.
On the "Alaska" side of the street, still great piles in the yards.
On the "Hawaii" side, facing the sun in the mornings, mostly gone:
In the high school parking lot, the giant ice piles are turning black and gray.
And, s l o w l y melting away.
But the geese are happy.
