At his going away breakfast this morning, I told Nick I was making another going away video, which elicited the rolled eyes I expected.
"You know I won't watch it. They make me cry."
"What if I didn't use a sad song?"
"Still don't think I could get through it."
"When I'm dead, will you watch them?"
"How long after you die?"
"Depends. If the technology is changing over, you have to sit through them all before they're obsolete. Otherwise, I'm giving you an open ended promise."
"Okay. Deal."
So, in my own weird ways of processing emotions, a love song to my athlete on his way back to Texas, that he will likely never see.
