10-15-11 Indian Summer Saturday

The waning moon was still out mid-morning on our errand runs. We had a record-breaking Indian Summer kind of day -- highs in the mid-80°s here. By Tuesday, the high will only be 55° just in time for Bob Sr. and Nell's visit the second half of the week.

And the Christmas stuff is out in force at Sam's already.

From the parking lot of Walmart. Did I mention I love living here?

Spent some time this afternoon walking about the neighborhood and getting shots of the trees in all their splendor. The earliest ones who turned red last month are now bare, so it won't be long now.

Katy found someone just her speed at the dog park.

The poetry does not matter.
It was not (to start again) what one had expected.
What was to be the value of the long looked forward to,
Long hoped for calm, the autumnal serenity
And the wisdom of age? ~T.S.
