It rained all afternoon. This made the trip to the zoo outstanding, since we pretty much were entirely alone at the place the whole time. While the lions weren't exactly lounging about, some of our more cold-tolerant friends were quite happy to bound about.
I have a new favorite. The Red Ruffed Lemurs were insanely fun to watch and they put on quite a show for us.
Basically, I got to visit the zoo while entirely empty, walk in the cold rain, and take pictures. All in all, a lovely afternoon.
And when it was all said and done, I got to spread blankets out in the back of the car for the girls, who were covered in mud from their toes to their hair.
And, to top it all off, there were hats.
