3-11-2012 The Rest of the Trip

We hit the diner for breakfast in the morning and kept asking one another what time it was.

Turns out travelling on daylight savings times and through two time zones can get a might confusing.

And after breakfast it was time to hit the road. The road trip video going back was primarily the Nick show, but if you really wanted to see the sights, just play the previous video in reverse.

We hit some sleet coming into Raton, but you could already see the blue skies trying to peek through the clouds.

We got back to Mom and Dad's around 2:00 (Mountain, Daylight Savings, which felt like midnight) and promptly took a nap before hitting up Saltgrass for an early dinner. Mom won a gift card that she discovered expires soon, so it was multiple appetizers, including the stuffed jalapenos pictured below (with giant shrimp and some very yummy cheese sauce), lobster tail, and filet mignon. We drove the last hour home in a food coma.

I took a bit of crap for being too 80s heavy in the second half of the road trip playlist, but then I was subjected to Nick's ipod the last leg of the journey and decided that was penance enough.
